Never Trust a Graphic Designer’s Claim of Spotting a UFO (especially if he provides pictures)

I’ve since moved out of this house…its hard to get a good night’s sleep when a tractor beam is shining through your window at night. With all of the observatories here in Hawaii, I’m amazed nobody can back up a legitimate UFO sighting. What, you guys didn’t spot them from the Mauna Kea Observatories? What do you mean you think I “edited” the photograph?

Alien Attack

Actually, the UFOs came to this island in part to search for intelligent life, but mostly to get caught up on their knowledge of exotic foods. They were also able to restock on spam and rice enough to feed their entire planet.

Anyway, if you are unable to make legitimate UFO sightings, you can always generate a pretty good one in Blender 3d, and use Gimp to impose it into your photograph, as I have on occassion.

ClipArt Illustration.com — Our Quest for Global Domination of the Clip Art and Illustrations Market

Having finally finished the last significant bit of coding, I’m ready to launch the site. Granted, its a little buggy, but thats what “Contact Support” pages were made for.

It turns out the URL of one’s website has A LOT of weight in one’s search engine ranking. CLIP – ART – ILLUSTRATION . COM…I really hit the jackpot on this one.

It happened like this:

ClipArt and Illustrations…They Seem to Be Related

One day I had a bright idea to build a simple stock website to sell my illustrations on. So I did what any clip clip art illustrator who knows php intent on creating a website would do: I went to go-daddy and searched “clipartillustration.com” and go figure…it was taken! So I added an “S” at the end of it and successfully registered clipartillustrationS.com. Not bad, but that “S” really detracts.

Support Your Local Spammer

Next thing that happened is a spammer/con artist contacted me and told me that I should pay him a donation for his work of voluntary work of registering clipartillustrations.com. I ask you: Who falls for this stuff? Apparently he has a listener program that watches for newly registered domain names and sends emails like that to the domain owners.

The Spammer emailed Me Again, As Spammers Tend to Do

Later on, I happened to be browsing my email spam folder for another lost e-mail and I found a new spam e-mail: clipartillustration.com is reserved for you! This was from the same spammer who had automated-ly detected a similar domain name to my last one registered. He was telling me if I paid him he’d turn over the domain to me. So knowing it was a scam I immediately jumped into Go-daddy and searched clipartillustration.com and found that the domain had recently become available! JACKPOT!

So this may be the first time a spammer had actually helped someone!

Excited I immediately responded to his spam-email and told his email sending bot thank you. I suspect it got lost in his spam filter. (I’ve always wondered if spammers use spam filters).

So that is the story of how an average guy like me, even in this age on the internet, can actually find a GOOD domain name! I hope to make good use of it!

My Shiny New Website

So anyone searching for a CLIP ART ILLUSTRATION has a perfect match to this website! In my future illustrations plan to make more use of the color orange (why change it if it works?) and make more stuff for bloggers. Sorry, in all of my PHP coding I didn’t have much time for a better plan of attack on my Quest for Global Domination of the Clip Art and Illustrations Market venture.

Stay tuned for my next blog post…or even better, new illustrations!
